Tonsil Stones/ bad breath
Tonsil stones, or tonsilloliths, are calcified deposits that form in the crevices of the tonsils due to the accumulation of debris, food particles, and bacteria. These stones can lead to a host of discomforts, with one of the most common issues being persistent bad breath, known as halitosis. The bacteria present in the stones produce sulfur compounds that emit an unpleasant odour, making breath freshness challenging to maintain. Mr Adeel can review you in clinic and help you diagnose the problem and will have your tonsils removed where indicated to address the issue.
