Does Your Child Look Like They are Not Listening to You? Understanding the Hearing Impairment in the Children.
A child's hearing is essential for acquiring speech, language and social skills. If you think your child’s hearing is abnormal, make an appointment with an ENT consultant. Here's some information to keep in mind:

Signs of Hearing Loss:

You may need to repeat yourself a few times.

Trouble following instructions

Being indifferent, muffled and disconnected during conversations.
Delays in speech and language skills.

Complaints from the school regarding the hearing
Types of Hearing Loss:
Conductive Hearing Loss occurs when sound waves are impeded from reaching the inner ear. Causes include earwax buildup, an ear infection (otitis media), glue ear, or a perforated eardrum. This type is frequently short-term and treatable.
Sensorineural Hearing Loss is irreversible and can affect the inner ear or the auditory nerve. Genetics, loud noise exposure, certain medications, or viral infections can cause it.
Mixed Hearing Loss
